Maryland-raised rapper IDK (Ignorantly Delivering Knowledge) announces the release date and cover art for his debut album, Is He Real?. The album is due September 4th via his own label Clue and includes previous releases “24,” which appears on this year’s Madden NFL 20 soundtrack, and “Digital,” which appears on the NBA 2K20 soundtrack. Coinciding with the album announce, IDK (formerly Jay IDK) is also announcing a headlining fall North American tour. He’ll play at Philadelphia’s Made in America Festival before kicking off the run October 13th at Austin City Limits Festival. Stops in New York, Detroit, Atlanta and Tyler the Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival will follow before ending the run in his home state of Maryland. All tickets are available here.
Today, Maryland-raised rapper IDK (formerly Jay IDK) shares a new video. “24,” directed by Jack Begert, is all about the money. The visual depicts the rapper in various states of luxury, including a Wall Street broker, football player and a mob boss. The track was featured as a World Record on Zane Lowe’s Apple Music radio show yesterday, where it was praised for being “such a centerpiece of energy and power.” Check out the segment HERE. The song will also be on this year’s highly-anticipated Madden NFL 20 soundtrack.
“24” is the second taste of his forthcoming album, Is He Real, following “Digital,” which will appear on the NBA 2K20 soundtrack, and arrives on the heels of the announce of his new label, Clue, in partnership with Warner Records. The label will house all of his upcoming releases, including Is He Real. It’s the culmination of a strong run of independent releases from IDK, including five projects in the past five years.

Today, critically-acclaimed DMV rapper IDK drops off his EP IDK & Friends :), a 7-track project with his fellow peers and friends. The EP, which was distributed by HXLY, LLC/Foundation Media, includes his three recent, hard-hitting singles “Once Upon A Time (Freestyle)” featuring Denzel Curry, “Moral” featuring Maxo Kream, and “Electric” featuring Q Da Fool. IDK also taps fellow DMV native Wale and Rico Nasty for collaborations.
When discussing the EP, IDK shares, “I wanted to make everything effortless and non-conceptual; I didn’t want to make this particular project a story. I just got with my rap friends and used this as an opportunity to challenge myself and make better hooks.” He also reveals that the tracks highlight his “raw and uncut thoughts.”

Last week, IDK premiered his 15-minute short IWASVERYBAD (Season 1) viaNoisey. The conceptual visual chronicles his teenage years indulging in house parties and bad behavior in Maryland and ultimately getting caught up in the streets. The short, which was directed and produced by Jason “IDK” Mills, Jamie Sanchez and Gregory “Beef” Jones, features the first six tracks off his 2017 debut studio album by the same name.
