Fueling anticipation further, the tracklisting for Skins has been uncovered today. A fitting swan song for the young legend, these ten tracks tap into the unbridled, unbreakable, and undeniable catharsis that endeared XXXTentacion to millions worldwide.

The glitchy choir of “Guardian angel” gives way to some of his most precise and potent rapping, hinging on rapid fire rhymes. Haunting piano burns against his emotive lyricism on the steamrolling of “Train food” as he offers up a detailed and diaristic confession, “I was lost.”Staring at the Sky” snaps from an acoustic moan into a thunderous scream backed by drums from none other than blink-182’s Travis Barker. Over ominous guitars, Kanye West locks into a pummeling duet with XXXTentacion on the rap/rock mash-up “One Minute,” also featuring Barker’s percussive talents. Everything culminates on the delicate and dark dreamscape of “what are you so afraid of.” A faint acoustic murmurs beneath his soulful delivery on the final question, “What are you so afraid of? Is it love?”

The single “BAD!” preceded the record, clocking over 150 million YouTube views to date. It also debuted at #16 on the Billboard Hot 100 and is pending RIAA gold certification. Adding on to a long list of awards and accolades this year,XXXTentacion, John Cunningham and X’s manager Solomon Sobande were honored in Variety Magazine’s 2018 Hitmaker issue for their work on “SAD!,” which is this year’s third most popular song according to BuzzAngle Music.

#NoEmpire: DIDDY BARS SON FROM APPEARING ON “EMPIRE” OVER MUSIC PUBLISHING

Sean “Diddy” Combs and his son Quincy seem like the perfect pair to appear on the new Fox hit, “Empire,” as the plot is based on a music mogul and his sons’ attempts to break into the biz and become stars like their father, something Diddy and his son know all too well.

Quincy has a new single called “Friends First” featuring French Montana, and a guest-starring role on “Empire” would be great publicity, but Diddy is pulling the plug because of the show’s music publishing practices that they refuse to modify, even for Puff.

According to Page Six, “Empire” has a music contract in place that stars are required to sign, similar to American Idol & Glee. The show is scored by Timbaland and features original music that’s sold on iTunes. Diddy allegedly called all the bigwigs at Fox television, but once it was understood that Quincy would have to give up intellectual property of his work, Puff pulled him out of the appearance.

#ThatsRight: FOX RENEWS ‘EMPIRE’ FOR SECOND SEASON AFTER TWO EPISODES

Fox is placing all of its chips on breakout hit, Empire.

The network renewed the show for a second season only after airing two episodes. According to Entertainment Weekly, the modern day soap opera by Lee Daniels brought in 9 million viewers for the show’s premiere and roughly 10.3 million in the second. The show has been a hit in the social media realms like ABC’s Scandal and How To Get Away With Murder.

The drama has helped out Fox in a major way. The network is number four among the big networks and its Fall shows have all seen a decline in ratings. Empire along with fellow hit drama Gotham were approved under the networks previous programming honcho, Kevin Reilly. Critics are unsure if the network’s current team can keep the momentum going.

Taraji P. Henson, who plays Cookie on the show tweeted her reaction to the big news, “The #Empire has YOU THE PPL to thank,” she said. “There would be no #EMPIRE without YOU THE BEAUTIFUL PPL! So thank you again! You guys are the BEST!”

#PowerVsEmpire: “Empire” Premiere Becomes Instant Hit & Earns High Praise Online

It looks like FOX has a new hit series on their hands.

While Thursdays have been unofficially deemed as “Shonda Thursday” by many loyal fans of “Scandal” creator Shonda Rhimes’ superb shows, Wednesday nights just heated up a great deal now that the Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson lead series “Empire” has finally aired. Nobody really knew what to expect from their reunion since joining forces in “Hustle & Flow,” but it seems as though nearly everyone who tuned in to watch it was left utterly shocked by how good it turned out to be. Even Shonda herself took to Twitter and gave high praise to the new FOX hit.

Prior to the premiere, 50 Cent sent shots at the show for allegedly copying the blueprint to his series, “Power,” and Taraji wound up firing back at him. However, according to some tweets posted by fans of both, it looks like Empire might’ve had a stronger impact.
